In the fall of 2006, as a senior, I led UGA's Women's Studies Student Organization (WSSO) along with my Co-President, Lucas Franklin. Some experiences I gained from my tenure include:
Running campaigns on campus focused on Pro-Choice and Pro-women issues
Organizing a 3-day leadership conference to train campus activists in coalition building and campaign development
Building coalitions with other progressive student organizations, professors, and members of the Athens, GA community to put on an event about immigration rights and economic justice
Educating the campus community about safe sex in conjuction with the Health Center.
Coordinating speakers, film screenings, and panel discussions on campus
